Midway Fire Department

Midway VFD

Dear Midway Residents.

If YOU, as a property owner and/or resident of Madison County, were to make a 911 emergency call, the Midway Volunteer Fire Department would respond on scene as your local first responders.  This dedicated organization of volunteer firefighters has been faithfully serving this community since 1984.

Our 100% volunteer fire department consists of 13 volunteers who dedicate numerous hours each year providing fire protection to the residents of Midway and Madison County.  All fire department volunteers have full time jobs and/or attend school full time.  New members are always welcome and NEEDED at this time.

Our fire department apparatus capabilities consist of two brush/grass trucks, two Engines (Pumpers), one Tanker, and one rescue boat.  The ages of our fire trucks range from 1984 to 2021.  Keeping our resources updated and in top condition is of great impportance.  Yearly operational expenses, safety improvcements, maintenance, and upkeep for our apparatus, equipment, and building are of great concern.

During the past years we have:

⇒ Added a 2021 Engine (Pumper)

⇒ Currently updating/replacing emergency lighting on our 2009 Tanker truck

⇒ Added a dedicated phone number to contact the Fire Department for non-emergency matters

    (936) 348-0044

⇒ Revamped our Junior Firefighter Program.

⇒ Added the ability to receive alerts/calls on our personal devices

⇒ Continue to add equipment to our 2021 Engine

With the generosity of the community and residents, such as yourself, we are able to meet these crucial needs.  In order to continue we are asking for your support at this time.  Support may be shown in many ways.
